This photo captures a stunning, isolated beach on a remote tropical island off the coast of Borneo, where I was photographing the elusive Bajau Laut Tribe, also known as Sea Gypsies, who build their houses on stilts over shallow coral reefs. The calming pastel hues of the surrounding landscape blend seamlessly with the vibrant blue water of the sea. Under the overcast summer sky, the small cove appears like a paradise; Bajau children play and swim in the sea around their houses. The colourful scenery evokes a sense of tranquility and joy; it was the perfect getaway for me, seeking to escape the madness of Hong Kong's urban jungle and enjoy the beauty of nature.
